The SuperNova Early Warning System (SNEWS) represents a significant advancement in the field of astrophysics, functioning as a global network of neutrino experiments tuned to detect supernova neutrinos. Its primary objective is to deliver timely alerts to the astronomical community regarding potential Galactic core-collapse events. Following a prompt alert from SNEWS, there is a possibility that a supernova may become visible to the naked eye within hours or days.
